The logo symbol of the KICB represents the aspirations of the KICB to blur the boundaries between ceramics and other genres of art and to expand into new domains and the global scene as the center of world ceramics. Simple and modern, the logo symbol has the first Korean letter ‘ㄱ’ at the center. The ‘ㄱ’ is surrounded by concentric semicircles that seem to represent a wheel or pottery, which effectively projects the identity of KICB. The English title of the Biennale was changed to Korean International Ceramic Biennale (KICB) from Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale (GICB) in 2019.

Another element that projects the identity of the KICB effectively is color. Orange and brown are colors that represent the KICB. Orange symbolizes fire and at the same time expresses the vivid and warm feeling of the KICB. Brown is reminiscent of earth and nature and imparts the feeling of being solid and comfortable.
