It is to take a review the current status of ceramic arts across the world and issues of ceramic culture to see and discuss where we should go in the future. The KICB has been defining current status of international ceramic arts of the time and generating discourses with diverse artistic experiments, by exploring future direction of ceramic arts and it is marked the 10th event in 2019.

Established in 2001, the KICB has established itself as one of the major biennales transcending locality in Korea. With ceramists gathering in Korea from around the world and world-renowned ceramic ware presented in Gyeonggi-do Province, the Biennale a true ceramic arts festival where all ceramic artists from more than 70 countries across the world gather is held every odd year. For the past 20 years, the Biennale has been playing a crucial role in shedding light on the value of Korean ceramics and establishing Korea as the center of world ceramics.
