나는 나의 문화, 즉 고대 이집트 토기와 이슬람 미술에서 볼 수 있는 기하학적 문양에 뿌리를 두고 도자기 형태와 기법을 확장시키는데 흥미를 느낀다. 도자기 고유의 기능과 조형성을 접목하여 현대사회에서 아직도 의미를 가지고 있는 고대의 종교의식, 기억, 문화적 교훈 등에 관한 이야기를 떠올리는 작품을 만들고 싶다.
I am interested in expanding on forms and principles rooted in my culture: namely ancient Egyptian pottery and geometry in Islamic arts. By bridging the languages of function and sculpture, I hope to conjure up stories about rituals, memorializing, and cultural proverbs that still feel relevant.
