판성형에 기초한 작업을 하면서 나는 대비되는 요소들을 탐구하고 구조적인 문제점들을 해결하기 위하여 유연성을 주려고 노력한다. 나의 도자기는 부드러운 점토판의 부분들을 정확하게 계산하여 만들었고 형판을 사용하여 매개변수를 정한 것이긴 하지만 작업 과정에서 구조, 용량, 균형에 관한 생각들을 자유롭게 표현할 수 있다.
The foundation of my work is slab-building giving flexibility to explore contrasting elements and solve structural problems.
Although my pots are constructed from calculated sections of soft slabs and I use templates to define certain parameters there is freedom within this process to express preoccupations with structure, containment and balance.
