To live is to be in a relationship with the geographical space where one lives. People live and die in places. We cannot think of places separately from life, and they are places on the land. The soil literally lets people stand and supports their lives, and every place is witness to history, culture, and memories. Every moment is part of an eternal process of reproducing the buildings that can be the facades of a place, its history, and its culture on its soil: the place is thus created and is then gradually eroded by water, according to the rhythmic cycle of creation and destruction.
