나는 3D 프린터를 활용하여 도자기 형태를 만든다. 자연은 너무나 유기적이고 디지털 매체는 너무나 인공적이다. 나의 창작 의도는 기계를 사용하여 만든 인공적인 형태를 다양한 손작업으로 마무리하여 유기적인 구조로 변형시키는 것이다. 인공적인 것과 유기적인 것 간에 대립하는 요소들을 포착하고 기계가 생산한 도자기 형태를 변형시켜 새로운 형태를 만드는 것이다.

As a tool to shape ceramics, I use a three-dimensional printer. While nature is so organic, digital media is so artificial. My goal is to transform the artificial forms from a machine into an organic structure with different touches, to capture the opposition between artificial and organic, and to deform the ceramic structures produced by a machine to reveal new forms.
