파우스토 살비의 작품은 대부분 대형 마욜리카 도자기로 그는 전통 마욜리카 조자기를 현대적으로 풀어내는 방법을 탐구한다. 현대 사회의 여러 사회적 정치적 양상들을 표현하기 위하여 노력하는 과정에서 그는 때로는 도자기가 아닌 다른 매체를 사용하기도 한다. 상이한 문화권을 여행하면서 얻는 지식이 살비의 창작 원천이 된다.
Fausto Salvi works with majolica, often in large scale, looking for a dialogue between old and contemporary styles. Trying to express social and political aspects of contemporary society, his work evolves sometimes through other mediums than ceramics. Travelling and deepening other cultures is the engine of his work.
