나의 작품은 주어진 공간을 주관적으로 관찰하는 것에서 출발한다. 나는 작품을 통하여 작품이 놓여진 공간을 해석한다. 이 과정에서 주관적, 때로는 공감각적으로 공간과 소통한다. 나는 내 자신이 선택한 물질성을 가진 재료를 사용하여 형태를 빚으며 공간을 유기적으로 제압한다. 나는 거대한 규모의 조형작품을 제작하는데 이는 작업공간에 대한 육체적 도전을 의미한다.
Patricia's sculptures depart from a subjective observation of a given space. Through them, the artist communicates a subjective, often synesthetic, reading of the space in question. She colonizes spaces organically through a physical shaping of a chosen materiality. Her resulting sculptures are monumental in scale, challenging her physically and precipitating a bodily engagement between her body and the space she is working in.
